Longhua District is fostering a new, high-quality productive force driven by the artificial intelligence (AI) industry by exploring new scenarios and sectors for the application of AI technology, as highlighted at a seminar on the promotion and application of AI.

The district has established an AI industrial chain that integrates sci-tech innovation, industrial development, enterprise support, computing power supply, and the extension of application scenarios. Longhua currently boasts 374 AI enterprises with a total output of 30 billion yuan, 70% of which are specialized and sophisticated SMEs. Additionally, two AI industry clusters have been established near the Shenzhen North Railway Station area and Baoneng Industrial Park.

Two Longhua-based enterprises or institutions, namely Shenzhen Urban Transportation Planning Center and Shenzhen Powerleader Computer System Co., Ltd., have been recognized among the top 100 representative AI technology scenarios in the district as part of a national pilot demonstration area for AI application and innovation. Furthermore, products from 21 Longhua-based AI enterprises have received citywide recognition, ranking second among all districts and new districts in Shenzhen.

To promote the innovative development of the AI industry across various aspects such as computing power supply, technological innovation, industrial agglomeration, application scenarios, data security, ecosystem establishment, and business environment, Longhua has issued a one-year plan for the innovative development of the AI industry, along with several measures to support the development of AI and robotics industries. Additionally, the district is exploring innovative applications of AI technology in government operations by launching a work plan for the first batch of AI-assisted construction projects. To date, Longhua has deployed one general-purpose foundation model and four specialized models for education, healthcare, urban management, and judicial scenarios, while also advancing the application of AI technology across various government work scenarios.

By implementing these measures, Longhua aims to increase the total number of its AI enterprises to 400 and establish an AI enterprise cluster in central Longhua by leveraging its existing resources.
