Located in Longhua District, the geographical center of Shenzhen, Longhua District People’s Hospital (formerly known as Shenzhen Eleventh People’s Hospital) is a public tertiary hospital integrating medical treatment,teaching, research, disease prevention, and healthcare. It is the teaching hospital of medical institutions of higher learning in Guangdong Province, the postgraduate training base of Southern Medical University (SMU) and Guangdong Medical University (GDMU), the National Standardized Medical Residency Training Base, the Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base, and the National Excellent Practice Base for Health Promotion and Education. Founded in 1976, it was renamed Longhua District People’s Hospital in March 2017. In 2019, it was dubbed “Five-Star Hospital” in AILIBI STAR Hospital Evaluation.
