Longhua District Central Hospital is a district-level tertiary public hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, healthcare, research and teaching. It is a non-directly affiliated hospital of Guangdong Medical University, a National Standard Chest Pain Center, and a Stroke Prevention Demonstration Center. Located at 187 Guanlan Boulevard, Fucheng Street, the hospital covers an area of 44,000 m2 and a floor area of 85,000 m2 with 1003 beds. In July 2017, the Primary Healthcare Group was established, forming a tiered medical service system of "Central Hospital+3 subdistrict community health centers+27 community health stations," which provides 1.5 million people with 10-minute access to medical care. It has been awarded as a "National Demonstration Hospital for Medical Care Improvement" and a "Guangdong Demonstration Hospital for Health Promotion."
