Longhua will accelerate the development of biopharmaceuticals, chemical pharmaceuticals and genomics, and pursue breakthroughs in key technologies in fields of mobile healthcare, in vitro diagnostics (IVD) and biosensor, etc. Bases for biopharmaceuticals and medical devices will be built to create a world-class life science and healthcare industry cluster. In May 2020, the National Innovation Center for High Performance Medical Devices (NMED), the only innovation platform of medical devices embarked on by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was officially established in Longhua District.
