Leading Chinese tech company iFLYTEK has announced plans to establish its regional headquarters in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), along with an industrial booster in Shenzhen’s Longhua District.

Situated at the forefront of Shenzhen’s technological innovation, the booster will harness iFLYTEK’s strengths in artificial intelligence (AI) and its extensive industrial ecosystem to develop a global hub for AI and the digital economy. By providing support in technology, markets, investment, management, and branding, it will also serve as an incubator to enhance the competitiveness and innovation capacity of local small and medium-sized enterprises.

At a recent signing ceremony, eight domestic companies—specializing in robotics, display technology, smart communities, new energy, and the low-altitude economy—announced plans to establish offices in the booster. The facility is located in the Longhua Central Axis Digital Economy Core Area in Minzhi Subdistrict, one of the district’s key development zones.

Since forming a strategic partnership with the Longhua District Government in February last year, the booster has already attracted 15 enterprises from within iFLYTEK’s innovation ecosystem.

To date, iFLYTEK and its ecosystem enterprises have contributed more than 350 million yuan in output value and generated 35 million yuan in tax revenue for Longhua District.

Looking ahead, iFLYTEK and Longhua District will deepen cooperation in technological innovation, industrial incubation, and talent cultivation; promote the application of AI technologies in education, government affairs, healthcare, and judicial services; and work toward building an inclusive, self-improving AI ecosystem that accelerates the development of a globally recognized AI industrial powerhouse.

Longhua District, for its part, has been accelerating the innovative development of the AI and robotics industries by rolling out measures and work plans to support computing power supply, technological innovation, industrial clusters, application scenarios, data security, ecosystem development, and an enabling business environment.

So far, the district has promoted the adoption of more than 100 AI products in real-life scenarios, including urban administration and city governance. Dedicated AI models have been developed for four key sectors—education, healthcare, urban management, and judicial services—empowering diverse applications and embedding AI technology across the entire chain of urban governance.
