Opened in May 2013, the Shenzhen Mei Luen Rosewood Art Museum is the first rosewood art museum in Shenzhen. Most of the over 3,800 exhibits in the museum are rosewood furniture. In addition, other collections of wood carvings, calligraphy works, paintings and ancient clothing are also on display. Its collection of furniture pieces covers almost all traditional furniture forms. Efforts are being made to take in more varieties of domestic and international cultural artefacts with an aim to transform the museum into an international platform for cultural exchange.
